How somatic therapy helps
Healing doesn’t require reliving the past. Most of what affects us lives in the subconscious and the body, shaping our emotions, habits and reactions - often without us realising it.
Instead of endlessly unpacking the past, we focus on how your body holds those experiences today - gently releasing stored tension, survival patterns and emotional stress that may be affecting your mental, emotional and physical health.

What to expect from your sessions
Healing trauma and stress requires a delicate, trauma-informed approach, with safety as the foundation. Each session is held in a grounded, attuned presence - a space where you are truly met and listened to, without rush or judgement.
Our focus will be on establishing stability and safety within your body and nervous system. Gently exploring and processing past experiences at a pace that suits you. Building emotional resilience and reconnecting with your body’s natural wisdom.

Nervous System Regulation (Polyvagal-Informed) - Supporting emotional regulation by working with the autonomic nervous system to promote safety, calm and resilience. Informed by the principles of Polyvagal Theory.

Compassionate Somatic Inquiry - A body-led process of exploring sensations, emotions and beliefs with curiosity, helping to uncover stored patterns and invite new awareness.

Parts Work - Gently connecting with younger or protective parts of yourself, allowing for integration and healing of patterns rooted in past experiences.

Somatic Tracking & Sensorimotor Awareness - Observing the body’s internal signals (interoception) and using that awareness to support emotional regulation and self-connection.

Bilateral Stimulation - When appropriate, I may incorporate gentle bilateral practices to support emotional integration.
